POLLEN

Pollen is a natural compound produced by flowers and disseminated by bees to ensure the reproduction of plant species.
It is deposited on the back of the bee when it collects nectar from the flower. The bee collects it using its legs and makes a conglomerate called a “ball” which it places on its legs for the return to the hive. Pollen is surrounded by the “pollen coat”, a fatty substance which protects it during transport. Sometimes pollen grains fall from the bee ensuring the fertilization of flowers along the bee’s path.
